Lydia Beck is the K-12 Career Specialist at Tulpehocken. She is a certified secondary school counselor with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kutztown University and a Masters of Education in School Counseling with certification from Millersville University. 

She began her professional career at Concern Professional Services in Fleetwood.  She worked at Exeter Township High School as a Career Guidance Specialist followed by Berks Career and Technology Center as a Special Needs Counselor/PR Marketing Specialist. 

As K-12 Career Specialist at Tulpehocken, she is responsible for the career development process, working collaboratively with the counselors on implementation of the Chapter 339 District Plan, and for the collection of PA Career Standards Benchmarks evidence.  She coordinates career exploration opportunities through classroom lessons, one-on-one sessions, speakers, job shadowing, field trips, internships, college fairs, and career fairs in partnerships with the business community. In her spare time, she loves being with her daughters, husband, and two energetic boxers.  As a family they enjoy playing games, camping, and being involved with theatre.
